Morgane Kieffer
Morgane Kieffer was born in Epernay in 1999.
She plunged into photography at the age of 10 after receiving her first camera at Christmas and initially turned to everyday subjects. Her passion for photography grew but she was quickly dissuaded from making it her profession. She then turned to a more traditional course of study. However, she did not turn away from her objective and decided to try her luck. After joining a BTS of photography in Roubaix she was definitively conquered and her ambition not being satiated she integrated the National Superior School of Photography Louis Lumière in 2020 and will be graduated in 2022.
The artist produces strong aesthetic shots but for her « sending a message with my photos is not a goal ». In this approach she looks for emotion in the composition, the shapes and colors.
Morgane is very curious and likes to explore, to handle, various techniques of shooting from old processes like cyanotype, to analog as well as digital with all the possibilities it offers in term of retouching but also with more alternative processes such as photographic collage.
Having a passion for Japanese culture, she recently decided to work on the representation of Japanese photographers and their works in France as part of her Master thesis.
