SadGaspard
SadGaspard is an artist living in Lyon.
In his youth, he was interested in art and more particularly in everything related to the image, photography, cinema, music videos, but also in literature which occupies a large place in his current work.
After high school he continued his studies in the field of arts with a specialization in cinema and then trained as a video editor. From this experience, Gaspard felt not enough involved in the creative process, and became a self-taught photographer.
He now wants to « create his own images to bring his unique vision shaped by his different experiences and influences ».
Gaspard started to explore digital photography but very quickly turned to film photography and more particularly to polaroid photography. « I quickly realized that it was a specialty that offered a lot of possibilities and allowed experimentation and, unlike analog, there is this immediate visualization that brings it closer to digital ».
The artist’s world gravitates around photography, videography, animation and drawing. « I like to combine different technics to create hybrid formats like with photography and painting, collages ».
The artist adopts an autobiographical approach through which he depicts his reality, his suffering and his feelings. In his works, he seeks to intrigue the viewer and make him enter his world.
« In everything I do, there is a piece of me ».
